Communications Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to help us communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ as it is passionately lived out in and through the Methodist International Church (MIC). You will immerse yourself fully in the life of the church to understand our people, culture, and Methodist identity — and share our passion for telling the story God is weaving through our community.

You will be an outstanding communicator fluent in both English and Chinese, deeply relational, and comfortable working across different cultural and language contexts. We are looking for someone with strong strategic and management skills, able to develop a long-term communications plan that empowers lay volunteers to contribute effectively. You will oversee all aspects of communications, including design, social media, and website content and maintenance. You will also take initiative in seeking out and sharing “good news” stories that celebrate how God is at work within and beyond the MIC community.

Newcomers Integration

A key aspect of this role is developing a robust process to welcome and integrate newcomers into the life of the church. This will include regular attendance at Sunday services, coordinating a ‘Sunday Team’ of lay volunteers, and ensuring that newcomers’ information is shared with relevant staff for thoughtful follow-up and care.
