The Sanctuary
Capacity: (1/F) 260 people, (2/F) 190 people
The Sanctuary has two levels, a main floor and a balcony, offering a total capacity of 260 people on the first floor and 190 on the second, giving you flexibility to suit the size and feel of your funeral service. The space is equipped with a Steinway grand piano, professional production equipment, and an audio‑visual technician on site, so you can focus on remembering your loved one while we take care of the details.

Sky Chapel
Capacity: 80 people
Holding a funeral service in the Sky Chapel offers an intimate and uplifting experience on our 22nd‑floor sanctuary, with panoramic views providing a serene backdrop. Its graceful tear‑drop ceiling draws the eye toward the cross below, creating a peaceful focal point as you gather to remember your loved one. With a capacity of 80 people, the space feels warm and personal, and is equipped with an audio system, a Yamaha grand piano, and an on‑site audio‑visual technician to support your service.

Wesley Chapel
Capacity: 130 people
Holding a funeral service in the Wesley Chapel offers a warm and graceful setting in our intimate, oval‑shaped worship space. The beautifully curved ceiling draws the eye toward the cross above the Holy Communion table, creating a gentle focal point as you gather to remember your loved one. With a capacity of 130 people, the chapel is ideal for a close‑knit service surrounded by family and friends, and is equipped with full production equipment, an audio‑visual technician, and a Yamaha digital grand piano to support your service.

Where is MIC located?
Methodist International Church, Wesleyan House, 271 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island.
How can I book a venue for a funeral, and can I visit before booking?
Because of government regulations, funeral services at MIC must be arranged through a licensed funeral director.
Your funeral director will take care of all arrangements on your behalf, including procedures, scheduling, and logistics.
Please contact us to arrange a site visit if you wish to see the venue in advance of a licensed funeral director making a booking.
What are the venue hire charges?
Funeral services are scheduled in 3‑hour blocks. For detailed charges and fees, please refer to our pricing below.
Can I book an evening time slot for the funeral service?
Evening time slots are subject to venue availability, and additional charges may apply.
What are the operating hours for venues, and are there restrictions for bookings on Sundays or public holidays?
Our venues are available for hire from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday.

How far in advance should we book a venue at MIC?
Our booking system operates on a “first‑come, first‑served” basis.
Can non-Christians use our venue for a funeral?
MIC serves people from all walks of life. We welcome both Christians and non‑Christians to host a funeral or memorial service at MIC, following a Christian service order.
Do Methodist members enjoy a discount?
Yes, we offer discounts to Methodist members. Please contact us for more details.
Is parking available for the funeral director and flower delivery?
We provide one parking space for the funeral director’s vehicle (hearse or car). Those delivering flowers may use the drop‑off area to unload.
Guests are asked to use nearby commercial lots.
Can the casket be delivered to the chapel before the funeral service?
Yes, you are welcome to deliver the casket to the chapel before the funeral. If you prefer an open casket, please ensure the casket is fitted with a transparent cover.
Can funeral flowers be delivered to MIC before the service?
Yes, funeral flowers may be delivered to MIC before the service. Deliveries should be made during working hours and arranged in advance with the funeral director or our office.
Is food and drink allowed in the Chapel?
Unfortunately, food and drinks are strictly prohibited due to hygiene concerns.
Can I bring my pet to MIC?
Yes, we are a pet-friendly venue. Please inform us if you plan to bring your pet along.
